I have tried to mark all mods that require OBSE, but I may have missed a couple. Some mods have weird installation instructions, and even once you're used to the usual installation, don't fall into this trap. Once you're used to using Wrye Bash, and working with your load order, and understand compatibility a little more, THEN you can try an overhaul.ĪLWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS, READ THE README. You have to manage your mods, and overhauls are much harder to manage than other, lighter weight mods. Most people don't play Oblivion very long before starting with mods, and then are not used to the difficulty of playing with an overhaul. This will still serve as a good guide though.įirst, before you start with mods, read this.Įven though I'm going to recommend an overhaul, don't start your modding experience with one. I no longer have time, or even get enjoyment out of video games. More recent update: This is essentially as is now. Mind you, I will still add mods to this list as I find and test them. This list may now go out of date, because I've been banned from the official forums, and without them, it's basically impossible to keep up a list.
